  • fortunately this has not hit our community. Our 5th and 8th grades have mini-graduations, but no caps n gowns, no decorating.

  • to "Impossibleme" - I have done each of my kids' senior pics. They ended up being nicer, more candid and the kids loved them. And even with printing cost about $50 vs. the $600 many other parents' spent.

  • - Why does it cost so much to fund your project graduation? Our school does it every year for around $6-$10k which is raised by the group, it's fun and the kids have a great time.

  • How about sold old-fashioned ingenuity from the schools and parents?  Our high school has a graduation committee that changes every year and includes parents from the graduating class as well as a few teachers and EVERY SINGLE YEAR they raise enough money over the senior year to pay for prom, …

  • I am also a woman and a member of this nation. Carrying a child to term is quite literally the most wonderful thing a woman can do. Once a child has been conceived, it is a person. We as human beings have decided that we have the right to determine what is and is not life. Life is life - period.

  • He will make mistakes? He has already made them...Richardson, Giethner, Guantanamo Bay, etc.  Just give the racial thing a rest....he is not black and he is not white - he is bi-racial! Bravo! I wish  more people would recognize this fact.

  • Obama made a campaign based on a promise of hope. We are banking on his ability to deliver on that. My expectations are high- rightfully so
